Panzer Recce?
If its passed 9 there is a 95% chance im pissed.
Lewis GD were good at most things as they were the equivalent of the British Guards Division.
They were called greater germany or 'gross deustchland' as recruits came fomr all over the country and had to be very good soliders and above average physically.
They were initially a ceremonial unit and became a fighting formation.

Just had a quick butchers in the book Stubblehopper so kindly gave me - basically a pictoral history of the GD - but in German! Yes, black panzer uniforms with GD cufftitle - very nice indeed!
Of course, Barca - that means you will have to choose between GD or the 27th penal unit.

You could tack stitch it on, or velcro it but its not going to be too durable and you might end up losing it.

I'd recommend http://www.regaliaspecialist.co.uk for all bling. Sometimes a quid or two dearer than Soldier of Misfortune, but fantastic service and quality.

Cuff title should be at least 15cm from the sleeve, and above any pleating. Mine is just about that, but I have seen photos of them just a few cms from the elbow.

Yo, Steiner - I haven't shown my face yet at any CR events, however, please don't forget me - I already have a GD loadout sorted - complete with two sets of boards - an infantry NCO and a recon. EM -
I will be at Wotan - having said that though, I'm almost certainly going there as LAH - but I'm definitely on board - ![]()
OK mate, I have put you as a reservist - i.e. not full-time GD.

Hey Steiner, I could be up for a bit of GD action. My impression is currently generic WH Panzergrenadier so with my smock on I could be GD. I am planning on getting a M36 tunic from spearhead soon which I noticed comes with GD insignia thrown in so would be good to go.
Btw I am also a fellow southerner, I live in North Hampshire.

Cool stuff, Boshman. Kermit lives around your area, I think.

My panzer outfit is GD hauptman.

Granted, the majority of heer troops would have just been in feldgrau, but Heer troops did wear camo, it is just rarely seen in period photos.

Hard to tell from the pic if the smocks are T&W or Splinter, Helmet cover on the center soldat definitely looks splinter though.
My theory is that the guys who would have worn full camo would be the unit snipers who would have kept themselves to themselves and were probably not keen on being photographed either.

If id do GD properly then id like to do it with a fieldgrau tunic and trousers and abit of splinter camo.
